Based on an exquisitely designed interior as the inspirtaion for this painting, 'Morning Light' explores the drawing rooms of this most elegant space in Dublin D4. Although now in its 'best clothes' I also wanted to recognise the beauty of these rooms simply for their volume and footprint. The painting aims to capture the eloquence of the architecture, only enhanced by the flood of filtered morning light through its exquisite window glass. 
The work is further embellished with 24-carat gold leaf to detail drawn areas and objects simply referenced.
